چکیده
Abstract In this review article, the joining of carbon fiber-reinforced polymer composite with metallic materials by using friction welding techniques was discussed and effects process parameters on weld properties were evaluated. Major involved in plunge depth (PD), dwell time, tool rotational speed. A successful joint poly laminate (CF-PPS)-metal formed an interlayer film additional polyphenylene sulfide. addition, a detailed overview discussed, such as stir spot (FSSW), (FSW), refill (RFSSW). current work, we had focused parameters, process, their development during similar dissimilar metals CFRP joint. Regarding FSSW review, best tensile shear load 7.1 kN obtained from AA5182 at speed 3,000 rpm 5 s time. The thickness for are 1.2 3 mm, respectively. most efficient speed, PD, shoulder penetration depth. heat generated its influence mechanical microstructure along possible defects internal cracks welded joints will be reviewed discussed.

متن کاملEffect of Friction Stir Welding on the Tensile Properties of AA6063 under Different Conditions
The basic aim of present study is to examine the effect of main friction stir welding (FSW) parameters on the quality of AA 6063 plate welds. Welding of AA6063 was carried out by a vertical milling machine, using different tools with a stationary shoulder and during the welding no external heating system was used. Different welding parameters studied were the tool rotational speed which varied ...
متن کاملEffect of surface treatments on damping behavior of carbon and glass fiber reinforced friction material
The ability to absorb vibrations in a vehicle during braking conditions depends primarily on the selection of ingredients for a friction material and interfacial adhesion between all these ingredients. In this work, a hybrid brake friction material is developed by combination of carbon fiber (CF), glass fiber (GF), resin and other ingredients. The surfaces of carbon and glass fibers are c...

Carbon-fiber-reinforced polyetheretherketone implants offer several benefits over traditional metal implants. Their radiolucent property permits improved, artifact-free radiographic imaging. Their lower modulus of elasticity better matches that of bone. Their fatigue strength is greater than most metal implants. This article reviews the use of these implants in orthopedic surgery, including tre...
